Activating people through design is what I like to do.
I specialize in helping organizations better understand their brand through brand identity design; helping communities address social issues through participatory design; and informing the public through information design.

Featured Projects

  • Radical Learners

Author Jim Knight needed a new logo for a blog that discusses issues facing educators and administrators. The logo needed to convey a radical feel without being a trite repetition of the fist symbol.

  • Colorado Meth Project

I recently got a chance to work with the Colorado Meth Project for a local promotion. A collaborative poster design workshop let area youth create dynamic posters that were distributed throughout Loveland.

  • Street art finding a purpose

Mass marketing doesn’t work. It’s too expensive, too alien, too immobile for small micro-community settings. See what changing the focus of design can achieve.

  • Testimony Africa

I had the privilege of working with photographer Sean Sheridan on his new book. It’s a fantastic book of his African photography with three incredible stories of African life.

  • CDC West Nile Virus Figures

I was asked to assist with figures for a forthcoming article on West Nile Virus transmission with stable flies. The figures had to be simple, straightforward, and clear.

Although the design process changes on just about every project, there are a few steps that I think are pretty essential.
